Todos Santos is an artist colony located directly under the Tropic of Cancer, just one hour north of Cabo San Lucas but an entire world away. Nestled next to 70 miles of pristine, undeveloped beach, Todos Santos is famous for the remarkable quality of its light, which drew the first American artists from Taos in the 1980s. Since then artists of all stripes and nationalities have populated the town, which is a charming reflection of their passions with wonderful restaurants, art galleries, and shops. The people of Todos Santos are warm and welcoming and love sharing the pleasures of their hometown with visitors. The beaches of nearby Pescadero and Cerritos have added bonuses.

Price includes:
Airport Transfer to and from San Jose del Cabo aka Cabo San Lucas (SJD) (must arrive by 2p on retreat arrival day and 3p or later for flight on retreat departure day)
- 6 nights lodging at Los Colibris
- 6 full breakfasts & 5 lunches by our personal Chef Eleazar
- Welcome dinner and reception with Chef Iker
- Last night cooking class and dinner with Chef Iker
- Refreshing agua fresca throughout the work day
- Evening transportation into town
- Supplemental materials for your mosaic piece
Instruction is typically 5 days from 10a-2p. More work time will be available if desired. Each student will create a mosaic on a 12″x12″ or 11″x14″ EZ Frame substrate from Wits End Mosaic. Each student must provide the substrate and a minimum of 4lbs of Mexican smalti. Students will learn how to create a mosaic project using Mexican smalti and black tinted mortar/thin set. There are other adhesive options available if the student does not want to create their mosaic using black mortar.
This workshop is designed for all levels and with Tami’s twenty plus years experience you will be in great hands learning and creating with her guidance. It is recommended that you discuss ahead of time your design or image. Students must bring their image enlarged to the size of their substrate and it will be traced onto the substrate at the workshop.
You will have plenty of free time to explore Todos Santos and its surrounding areas. Popular activities include hiking, beach walks, whale watching, gallery strolls, and shopping. There will also be excursion options that can be booked through Todos Santos Eco Adventures if you choose to extend your stay. Massage and yoga are offered at Los Colibris (Los Colibris’ yoga deck sits at the highest point of the property on the tropic of cancer, and has a most amazing view of the Pacific). Room selections will be made in order of full payments received.

Material, tool list & instructions on packing will be sent after registration.
Payment in full must be completed 90 days prior to the retreat.
Cancellation and refund policy:
- Up to 90 days before the retreat, all cancellations will be refunded in full minus a $200.00 processing fee. Alternately a full credit of fees paid may be applied to a future retreat within 12 months if available.
- For reservations canceled less than 90 days before the retreat, 50% is refundable of the entire retreat price, meaning reservations canceled less than 90 days prior to the retreat WILL NOT be refunded your 50% deposit.
- For reservations canceled less than 45 days before the retreat, all fees paid are non-refundable and NO class credits will be given UNLESS there is a government travel ban and the workshop does not run.
All Cooped Up Productions, Inc. (SBSMA) have no obligation regarding any additional costs or fees related to the issuance and/or cancellation of airline tickets or other travel reservations. All Cooped Up Productions, Inc. (SBSMA) accept no liability for any airline cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a non-refundable ticket or for canceled flights. Travel Insurance is highly recommended. All workshop participants should consider purchasing Trip Cancellation, Emergency Medical Evacuation, Baggage, Accident and Medical insurance from a reputable insurance company.

About Tami the artist and instructor:
A professional mosaic artist and teacher, Tami has been creating art all her life and mosaic art for over 20 years. In 2009 she started the Santa Barbara School of Mosaic Art based on her love for mosaic art and wanting to share her passion with other creative people. Tami and her husband Jerry also own Mosaic Arts Online and Create Arts Online. Both of these online schools are their full time job when they are not hosting retreats in Todos Santos or other parts of the world.
